I love Gin and Tonic with a dash of bitters and lemon juice

I love cheese and good TV with out the ads

I love men with longish hair – think Aragon in Lord of the Rings not Gandalf

I love my husband who is of course amazing and has longish hair

I love my friends

I worry Too Much about anything

I don’t exercise enough (it’s sooo boring)


began writing in 2002 when I was diagnosed with aggressive cancer

My first book Sunday Best was a winner of the Varuna-HarperCollins Manuscript Award in 2004

My second book After Before Time was published by HarperCollins in 2014


My third book The Art Of Preserving Love was published by Mira in 2018 under the pen name Ada Langton


​I was selected for a Ledig Fellowship by the Australia Council for the Arts (Thank you Ozco)

I have been published by Allen & Unwin (2 Anthologies) – and in several Newspapers and Magazines


My fourth book will be called The Celestial World of Connie Starr


I organised and got funding to run a writers Festival in Buninyoung. People even came from overseas for it.

I studied painting at the Victorian College of the Arts and my my paintings can be found at Art Atrium Sydney

I love the song No Quarter by Plant (love Plant’s hair) and Page. Other bands I enjoy include Busby Marou, Mumford & Sons, U2 and the brilliant Gary Moore (RIP)


Books I love include but are not limited to: The Colour Purple, Lady Chatterly's Lover, 100 Years of Solitude, Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, The Gentleman's Garden, Camille's Bread, Bliss, Cloud Street, Lorna Doone and I could go on and on

I would love to meet Wes Anderson (DH Lawrence is not available) his films are beautiful
